The iHeartRadio Music Festival is an annual event that has been taking place since 2011. Initially, the festival was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, from 2011 to 2015. In 2013, iHeartRadio introduced the free Daytime Village at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, which was held at the Las Vegas Village until it was relocated to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in 2018.
Starting in 2016, the main portion of the iHeartRadio Music Festival moved to the T-Mobile Arena, located in Paradise, Nevada, and has continued to be held there ever since. The event has been televised every year since its inception, with VH1 broadcasting the 2011 edition and The CW network airing it from 2012 to 2022, marking the start of their fall television season.
Beginning in 2023, the concert transitioned to being streamed exclusively on Hulu, although a free viewing option remains available through iHeartRadio’s stations. According to Billboard magazine, the main festival showcases some of the most well-established artists in the genre, while the village component highlights emerging artists. In 2013, Billboard noted that the festival had “quickly established itself as a home to every major artist.”
Over the years, this event has attracted some of the biggest names in the music industry. The 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival featured Avril Lavigne, Black Eyed Peas, Ed Sheeran, Halsey, Harry Styles, Lionel Richie, LL Cool J, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Megan Thee Stallion, Morgan Wallen, and more.Â
For 2023, the lineup includes Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson, Kane Brown, Lenny Kravitz, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Miguel, Lil Durk, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Pink, Public Enemy, Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, TLC, and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
